Summer Drift

From Queertactics

Johanna spends the summer in Geneva balancing video calls with her wife, who is away for the season, shifts assembling luxury watches in her current job, and time with her friends. Her summer takes an unexpected turn when she decides to get her old VW Beetle back on the road to enter a race in Belgium. After being dismissed by a male-dominated car industry, Johanna is ready to get her hands dirty, take matters into her own hands, and show men what she’s made of.

This is a story of self-empowerment and revenge against a sexist industry that has repeatedly dismissed and shut her out. Summer Drift is carried by Johanna’s effortlessly charismatic presence and filled with wholesome moments. All set against the backdrop of a beautiful city in the summer, it’s a feel-good ride with a rebellious wink – and a leading lady who has taken our hearts by storm.
