London

From Queertactics

LONDON tells the story of a disabled young adult living his life radically independently and self-determinedly. Together with his likewise disabled friends Luke and Lilá— mesmerizing: Jéssica Teixeira, previously seen at QUEERTACTICS 2023 in the essay piece ASSEXYBILIDADE —he works at a fetish club. When, during a medical appointment, the opportunity comes up to find out more about his body and his disability through an examination, London finds himself caught in a dilemma: a detailed diagnosis could provide him with more clarity—or reduce him to ‚his‘ clinical pathology.

Lead actor Victor di Marco co-directed the film with his partner Márcio Picoli. Vibrant, sensual and incredibly tender—at times quiet, at others loud and impossible to ignore—LONDON searches for a cinematic language that understands disability as a specific way of being in the world. The directing duo’s debut feature has just been awarded the Queer Lion Award 2026 at the Venice International Film Festival.
